As you may already know, I joined the 30 Days About Me series that is featured on A Daily Dose of Toni. She stumped me on Day 1, and she’s done it again!
The prompt for Day 4 is to share myFavorite Book.
I wish I had only one. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. I love diving in and connecting with characters. For me, reading is a way to escape all that is happening in the world and join another. I have read so many books, that I cannot force myself to choose just one. That wouldn’t be fair to all of the other wonderful words that have joined together to form amazing books!
Children’s Books – which I’m reading a lot of these days:
- Food Rules by Michael Pollan
- Bitter is the New Black by Jen Lancaster
- Mayflower by Nathaniel Philbrick {I’ve been “reading” since The Boy was born}
- True Compass by Ted Kennedy {I’ve been working on this one since The Boy was born, too}

It’s a lot harder to get through books with little ones around! Thanks for the list!

Very true…and explains why I’ve taken two years and still haven’t finished the two books I started!!

Adding them to my list (I’ve never heard of Pollan or Lancaster). My daughter is 3 months old and I squeezed in so many books during my last 2 months of pregnancy that I thought my eyes would cross! Since her birth, not so much.

Love Where the Wild Things Are. My daughter is 5 and I haven’t read this to her yet! I need to pick it up. My older kids had this but we’ve since lost it.
And I have heard of Bitter is the New Black. I think it might ring too true to me. ouch
Worth picking up you think?
Emily says
Bitter is the new Black is hysterical! It’s a quick & easy read.
Chloe says
I’ve only heard of the children’s books. haha!

I cut my list down to a few favorite authors. I tend to mainly read my few favorite authors and then reviews, prize wins, etc.
