By now, many of you know that The Texan plays coaches rugby. What you may not know is that he started the club he currently plays on coaches. When we moved to Cape Cod he was disappointed that he was leaving behind the big city and his rugby pals for a rural area without rugby. After a few months of moaning and groaning about it, he decided to start a team. He created a website and Facebook page…and went to the same bar every Thursday night hoping that guys would show up interested. At first he came home looking defeated…and then, they came.
Who knew that Cape Cod had rugby players? Nope, not me either. I’d say they really got started in late summer/early fall of 2010. Oddly, that’s the same time that The Texan tore his biceps tendon completely off during a rugby match. That’s one way to get a six-month reprieve from diaper changes, isn’t it? Anyhow, the team worked very hard at improving their skills and techniques. Some of the guys on the team had never played before. Fast forward to Spring of 2011….The Cape Cod Rugby Football Club made their first appearance at the New England Rugby Football Union tournament. And they won their division.
Yep, that’s right. I am married to a Championship Coach. When I was contacted by esigns.com to review their product, I jumped at the chance. This was the perfect way for me to do something great for the team, without being that overbearing coaches wife. {You know, the one who posts about the importance of sunscreen on the team’s Facebook page. Yep, I’m guilty of that, too!} I chose a 3 X 6 Vinyl banner with the club’s logo printed on it.
Esigns.com made the ordering process so easy. You simply visit their website, select the product you’d like to order, choose to design your own or upload a print-ready design. I selected the print-ready design and uploaded the team’s logo. Because the file that I attached wasn’t of high enough quality, the folks at esigns.com had their designers modify the file to ensure that it would look gorgeous on the vinyl sign.
I received an email from them the following day to approve my design. And, received the fantastic banner just a few days later. The vinyl sign is one of the highest quality signs that I’ve seen. It’s printed on durable 13-oz vinyl with reinforced metal nickle grommets on it’s hemmed edges. The color quality is beautiful, looks just even better than I envisioned it would.
The Texan was surprised to receive a great gift for his club. Here’s a photo of the banner hanging on the gate to the field:
Another great feature of this banner is that the ink is UV ink, so there is no need to worry about color fading over the years. If you need a banner or custom sign for any reason, be sure to use esigns.com. Fan them on Facebook for special offers. Their turnaround time is fast, their product is superior to many local printing shops, and they are priced fairly. In addition to vinyl banners, they offer magnetic signs, yard signs, A-frames and so much more! I’m thinking of ordering a magnetic sign, too. Don’t you think that would look nice on the back of our SUV?
I wrote this review while participating in a Business 2 Blogger campaign on behalf of esigns.com and received a complimentary 3X6 vinyl banner to facilitate my review.
