Since becoming parents, The Texan and I have noticed the programming on our television have changed dramatically. It seems our television is often tuned in to Nickelodeon for shows such as Sponge Bob Square Pants, The Fairly Odd Parents, and Dora the Explorer. You shouldn’t be surprised when I tell you that we plan to watch the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on March 28! I’m going to make these easy Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters fruit popsicles for all of us to enjoy.
A friend of mine mentioned that she found 30-packs of Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters at her neighborhood Walmart. Unfortunately, my store didn’t have the larger packs. But keep your eyes out she said there was a Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards display in the store!
Despite the long, cold, snow filled winter, we love frozen treats, especially when we make them ourselves. Because our ice cream maker is packed away until warmer weather appears, I decided to whip up some fruit filled popsicles. Using Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters as the base for the popsicles is a smart idea, there are no artificial colors and this lightly-fruit flavored water beverage is a low calorie choice.
Making popsicles using fresh fruit is a great way to get your kids to eat more fruit and also a great way to use up fruit that may be slightly over ripe.
Using the Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters Berry flavor for inspiration, I’m using strawberries and blueberries for mix-ins. First, I chopped a few strawberries into small pieces
and flash freeze a few blueberries. Popping the blueberries in the freezer for a few minutes helps them float in the Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters.
I used my favorite popsicle molds to make these. Snip the corner of a pouch and pour a bit of the Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters into your mold. Add fruit to the mold. Repeat until your popsicle mold is filled.
Before you insert the stick, make sure to leave a bit of room at the top to allow for expansion as it freezes.
The great thing about this easy fruit popsicle recipe is that you can customize the flavors to suit everyone’s tastebuds.
Slip them into the freezer for at least 3 hours. Run quickly under warm water to release the mold prior to enjoying.
I’ve shared our excitement about Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters and the Kids’ Choice Awards. I’d love to hear about your plans for the perfect watch party! Leave a comment letting me know what you’re looking forward to during this year’s Kids’ Choice Awards.
Oh my ! Using Capri Sun Roarin’ Waters for popsicles – genius! And what a great treat to enjoy while watching the Kids’ Choice Awards. Thanks for the reminder about leaving a little space when filling the molds. I always over-fill the first time I make them for the season. #client
