Happy Summer, Friends! I am so thrilled to welcome summer this year. If you live in New England, you’ve definitely earned a beautiful summer season! I am excited to enjoy more time outside – including running and bike riding with The Boy. Of course, with the warmer temps, I need to focus on staying hydrated and building your immune support. One way to do that is by making this delicious Strawberry Green Tea Smoothie with Tangerine. I like making this on hot days as a refreshing afternoon beverage. Using Emergen-C is great for post-workout as it replace key electrolytes lost through perspiration.
Ingredients
4 ounces green tea, cooled to room temperature
4 ounces unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 cup baby spinach
1/2 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
1 tablespoon local honey
1 packet Emergen-C Tangerine
1/2 cup ice, if needed
This smoothie is a wonderful way to incorporate a few extra servings of vegetables into your diet, while enhancing your energy naturally without caffeine from the 7 B vitamins found in the Emergen-C.
When assembling smoothies, I like to add spinach first. I try not to pack it down, but do like a hearty serving.
Next I add the liquids and berries.
Up next is the fun part – local honey. I love watching the honey slowly pour out of the jar. Honey is one of my favorite sweeteners. I find that using local honey helps me cope better with the effects of pollen.
The final ingredient for this smoothie is the Emergen-C Tangerine packet.
Give it a whirl in your blender. Add ice if you need it. Then, pour into a glass and grab a cute straw and enjoy!
I know what you’re thinking, spinach is gross. Please don’t let the spinach or the green-ish color scare you. The strawberries and the Emergen-C Tangerine are so delicious together, you cannot even taste the spinach. I promise!
While I love this as an afternoon snack, it’s perfect for anytime of day. Emergen-C has more Vitamin C than 10 oranges! Purchase Emergen-C 30 count at your local Walgreens now through the month of June and you’ll receive a free 1 liter bottle of Dasani water.
Enjoy the Dasani on it’s own, or use it to make the green tea for your smoothie!

Love the tangerine flavor of Emergen-C, so will have to try this smoothie. I agree that the spinach isn’t obvious at all. I think fruit smoothies are the best place to stash greens like this. #client
I tried to stash some in my husband’s the other day…I wasn’t sneaky enough – he found the green right away! Next time, I’ll be blending it longer!
