Birthdays. The beacon of how we measure life’s milestones and successes. As I get older, I notice that the things that were once important to me have fallen by the wayside. I no longer care what brand of clothing I wear or if so-and-so likes my shoes. I’m more committed to myself: to developing my sense of self and owning my decisions. What hasn’t changed over the last few decades? My commitment to a consistent skin care routine.
Do you remember the healthy skin care challenge I told you about last month? Here’s a little refresher for those who may have forgotten. In mid-September, I committed to being more active, to drink eight (8) glasses of water daily, to wear sun screen, and to take a daily all-natural dietary supplement called Exaltria.
Exaltria is an all-natural dietary supplement that gives you beauty from the inside out. If you haven’t turned 25 already, you’ll notice that around that age your skin’s ability to restore elasticity begins to diminish. This is because our bodies can stop producing molecular acid. Bummer, right? I’ve celebrated turning 25, and as I approach birthday number 40, I’ve definitely noticed a change in my skin over time. Here’s me just before my birthday this year.
Over the last thirty days, I’ve taken one Exaltria pill each day and watched as my skin has gone through a variety of phases. Quite honestly, not all were easy to swallow. There were a few days of breakouts that rivaled those of a teenager and a couple of days with redness and peeling. I nearly stopped taking the pills. How could this be good?
With day 30 behind me, I am noticing that my skin is smoother and appears a bit younger looking. The breakouts have subsided and my skin feels better. I have fewer clogged pores and redness.
Prior to the #30Days2BetterSkin challenge, I wore sunscreen daily (even in the winter! I cannot stress enough how important this is!!) and was drinking a fair amount of water. When I focused on drinking more water (and peeing all the time), that’s when I noticed my skin seemed to be healing itself. On days where my water intake was lower, I could see breakouts surfacing. No fun at all.
If you haven’t done so already, I want to encourage you to take a look at your own skin care routine. Creating a better skin care regimen is important to your overall health. Did you know that your skin is your body’s largest organ? By taking care of your skin, there is a good chance you’ll feel healthier overall. If you’re interested in incorporating Exaltria into your daily skin care routine, you can purchase it from Amazon.com.
You look great! This challenge is right up my alley! #client
