At just over two years old, The Boy is so curious about what I am doing with my iPhone. Most of the time, I am checking my email or looking at photographs. Typically, I do not allow him to play with my iPhone, but we do look at photos of family (okay, mostly photos of him!) together.
I know that many parents do allow their children access to their iPhones and iPods. I’ve often wondered what the purpose is? How can a toddler use an iPhone app? My question has been answered by the brilliant minds at Infantino. Recently, I was offered an opportunity to review the HappiTaps Beary Happy app for the iPhone. I have to admit, I was excited and so curious to see what it was all about. The app was available at no charge from the Apple App Store, and it’s a big file so I made sure that I was connected to my wireless service rather than the 3G Network.
The Boy was laughing as soon as the bear began speaking to him. The app has a seven activities for your toddler to enjoy, such as “Sing Along”, “Story Time”, and “Peek-a-Boo”. The app is very educational and kept The Boy mesmerized for 20 solid minutes of grid-lock traffic on a rainy day. It is designed to keep your child engaged with fun and educational activities. One great feature about the app is it offers a toddler mode which prevents your little one from using any other features on your phone.
If you’re anything like me, you’re concerned about the safety of your iPhone in the hands of a toddler. Infantino has that covered, too! They’ve created a protective HappiTaps cover which you slide your phone into. The case is well padded and will offer ample protection against accidental dropping. You can purchase your HappiTaps cover directly from Infantino here.
With the holidays just around the corner, HappiTaps is the perfect item to add to your shopping list!
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Infantino HappiTaps and received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.

I have this app- it’s so cute! I would love to try one of the holders 🙂
