In my first 14 months of breastfeeding, I spent over $600 on nursing bras. I bought two bras before I even had my baby girl—it was on the “Take to Hospital” list from some book—and have since navigated an array of specialty and maternity stores in search of comfort and support. Despite getting properly measured at each store, and jumping around in the fitting rooms, no bra seemed supportive enough after an hour or two of wear without the tags.
