Me? A Versatile Blogger? Yes!

How excited do you think I was to receive this award not once, but TWICE in the same week?! Talk about boosting the ol’ self-esteem meter right up there! Being recognized by my peers is something that I treasure. I think I’ll {get The Texan to} treat me to something special to celebrate!

I want to express my gratitude first to Samantha who is the mom behind Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much. I love her blog and was thrilled to receive an award from her. And, to Denise and Justine, the two fantastic moms behind Boys Rule Our World. Denise and Justine blog about raising boys – and all of the fun that goes along with it!

Seven things about me:

1. I find it difficult to list seven things about myself that I think others will find interesting. {Sorry if some of these are L-A-M-E.}
2. I was a competitive figure skater when I was {much} younger. I retired when I went to college. I miss it.
3. I {think that I} am a super fantastic cook!
4. One of my favorite things to do is watch the Boston Red Sox with The Texan and The Boy. So glad it’s baseball season again. Not so pleased with the 2-9 record.
5. My parents forced me to take a typing class during my freshman year of high school. I hated that class. Today, I type 85 words per minute. Thanks mom and dad!
6. It has been more than 20 years since I’ve eaten beef or pork. It has been less than 20 minutes since I’ve had coffee.
7. I married The Texan on November 11 at The Chapel By The Bay, Mandaly Bay in Las Vegas. This year we’ll celebrate our sixth anniversary at Mandaly Bay in Las Vegas on 11.11.11. It will {probably} be crowded, but we are so excited!

I had a difficult time choosing which blogs to pass this award along to partly because there are many amazing blogs that I absolutely adore. Thankfully, the “rules” say to choose fifteen recently discovered bloggers, which helped me {a little} to narrow down my choices. In alphabetical order, here’s my list of SIXTEEN recipients:
