I hate it when the fun has to end. We had a blast with my mom last week, and it was hard to say “See You Soon” when I dropped her off at the airport. I shared some of our adventures in my week in photos post and there are a bunch of photos on Instagram – search the hashtag #glammyvisits.
As we try to get back into the swing of things, I’m lost for what type of things to cook. Last night, The Texan informed me that he’s bored with everything. That nothing tastes good to him lately. We’ve been grilling a lot and I admit to using the same few spices. This week, we’re changing it up (I hope)!
Monday – Grilled clams from our neighbor!
Tuesday – A version of The Pioneer Woman’s Chicken Taco Salad. We’re not Ranch Dressing eaters, so I’ll have to whip up another fun dressing. I love making homemade salad dressings, don’t you?
Wednesday – Lobster. Not sure if we’ll do steamed lobsters or make lobster rolls, but we’re eating lobster. After all, it’s summer on Cape Cod.
Thursday – Burgers on the grill. Turkey burger for me, Angus Beef for The Texan. I’m sure there is a rule somewhere about people from Texas not being allowed to eat a burger that isn’t made from beef.
Friday – Jamaican Grilled Chicken Wings. I know The Texan never tires of these. He’d probably eat them every day if I made them. Okay, I’d eat them every day too! They are that good.
Saturday – Crock pot chicken.
Sunday – Leftovers. It’s always fun to have leftovers once in a while. I’m not a huge fan of eating the same meal more than once, but if you can “repurpose” it into something new and fun I’m all for it!
