Here we go again. It’s about that time. You know. Midpoint of a season, you fall into a food rut. Or is that just me? I love to menu plan, but feel like we’re eating the same few meals over and over and over again. I hate that. I don’t eat leftovers for that reason alone.
The Texan quickly tires of fish on the grill, while I could eat it daily. I am tired of wings, mostly tired of cutting them up to marinade. They do taste delicious. Absolutely delicious. We tried a few new things last week, so I think I’ll sneak them onto this week’s menu plan.

Monday – Grilled chicken with tomato, basil, mozzarella salad.
Tuesday – The Pioneer Woman’s Chicken Taco Salad This was a huge hit last week! I used an avocado salsa as the dressing. It was out of this world. I made a few changes to the recipe, but hers was the inspiration.
Wednesday – Burgers. Because everyone loves a good burger. Not sure if we’ll have tuna, turkey, chicken or beef. (Well, I won’t be having beef that’s for sure!)
Thursday – Turkey Tacos (it’s been a long time since we’ve had Turkey Taco Thursday!)
Friday – Grilled Chicken Wings. Because they taste so good. Delicious, really. Maybe this time I’ll remember to photograph them so that I can finally update the recipe!
Saturday – Let’s have a BBQ! I think we’ll invite some friends over for a BBQ. I’d better check with The Texan to see if he’s up for it. (This will be the test to see if he reads this week’s menu plan post!)
Sunday – Lobster Rolls or Scallop Rolls. I cannot get enough of either of these. Yum. Nothing beats a fresh lobster roll. Well, other than a scallop roll!
