Phew! What happened? I feel like I just wrote the Month in Review post for July. This summer seemed to pass more quickly than most. I’m not sure if that is because so much of my time was spent chasing a toddler around, or if it is because all of the boats were pulled from the yacht club a few weeks earlier than usual thanks to Hurricane Irene.
As a family, we spent most of August parked {literally} on the beach. There are only a few months to enjoy the pristine beaches of Cape Cod and I don’t want to miss a minute of it. We also dealt with a vehicle break-in which lead to long conversations with the police and our insurance agent. I am happy to report that the police did find a person they believe is responsible for the theft, yet sadly there is not enough evidence to pursue the case. I am mostly upset because my sunglasses that were stolen have been discontinued, so I had to choose a new style. And, I’m not overly excited about them.
Life at Nap Time is My Time has been busy as ever. I’m so thankful for the magic of “scheduled posts”! I participated in my first ever “30 Days About Me” series that was hosted on A Daily Dose of Toni. It was so fun to share fun things about myself with you, and I found wonderful new-to-me blogs in the process. If you missed any of my posts, you can read them all here.
This month, I featured four amazing bloggers in the Featured Blogger Series – Jamie, the woman behind Mama.Mommy.Mom, gave us a killer recipe for Not So Fried Green Tomatoes; if you’re in need of a beautiful fall wreath, check out the great tutorial by Sarah from Total Basset Case; Jen, one of the Four Bad Mommies, gave us a hysterical account of a family vacation; and E from Jet’s Journey shared her experiences living in a city with an infant. If you’re interested in becoming a featured guest blogger, please visit this page for more information.
The Pledge: No Shampoo or Conditioner continued through the month. I’ll be sharing my final post with you this Friday, September 9.
And one more thing – that was a first for me – I featured my first ever craft tutorial. Did you miss it? No worries, you can still see how I upcycled a milk carton into a classy vase here. I have a few more craft tutorials planned, so keep your eyes peeled!
Be sure to check the sidebar for current giveaways. And, as always, thank you so much for reading my blog and leaving such supportive comments. Without you, nap time would be wasted doing laundry and washing floors!
Summer really did fly by sounds like you had a very eventful one. Hopefully next summer you can skip the hurricane and car break-in.
