The one item I was most excited to shop for when I found out that I was pregnant was a stroller. We have a very active lifestyle, and I knew that we’d be on the go a lot. {I did baby wear, but sometimes a stroller just works better. Like at festivals when you want to clear a path to get through…} For me, this was a huge decision and one that required a lot of research.
Choosing a Stroller
It is important to look at your pre-baby lifestyle to help determine your needs for a stroller. If you are a runner pre-baby, chances are you’ll be a runner post-baby, too. A jogging stroller would probably be best for you. If you don’t go out much, maybe a small umbrella stroller is all that you need. You should also think about where you live – if you’re a city dweller, you probably don’t want to fumble with a huge travel system while you’re trying to hop in a cab or on the subway. If you live in the suburbs, maybe you can get away with a fancy pram!
I knew that I wanted something that was small, easy to fold, well made, would roll comfortably at the mall or on more rugged terrain, and something that looked good, too! When I stumbled upon the UPPAbaby Vista Stroller I knew that I found the perfect stroller for our family.
The Vista can be easily folded and picked up with one hand – with or without the seat attached. The frame is crafted of aircraft-grade aluminum and features an adjustable height handle. One of my favorite features is the 4-position toddler seat, including an upright position allowing your toddler to sit up and view the world! The bassinet and toddler seat easily “click” in place with Red/Green successful attachment indicators. The seats are at an elevated level, bringing baby closer to you.
You can choose from a variety of color choices – and color changing kits are available if you get bored with your original choice! Additional accessories for the Vista include a bassinet stand (which can convert to a laundry hamper as your baby grows!), cup holders and travel bag. If you’re planning on expanding your family, be sure to check out the rumble seat (for second child) and piggyback (for third child)!
The Vista is durable, lightweight and luxurious. Worth every penny and more!
Which stroller did you choose for your family? Would you purchase that stroller if you had it to do all over again?

we got the boys quickly, we had 24 hours notice. My husband bought the double stroller and it is okay but I would love to have something not as heavy, with cup holder, better straps.

Really great tips! I wish I’d had something like this to read before I picked our first stroller – I had no idea what to consider!!

We are past the stroller stage with our children, but I have to admit that finding the ideal stroller was such a pain! This stroller would have been fantastic, especially with the one-hand lifting…

I think I am addicted to buying strollers. I’ve heard of this and certainly have it on the short list for #2! Thanks for the great review!

We also have their G-Luxe for travel, it rocks. It’s a lightweight umbrella stroller with full recline. Holds infants – toddlers. Might be something else for you to consider as well!

Oh how I loved buying strollers. I can’t even tell you how many strollers I have had. Yes, I’ve had that many. Each of my boys had at least 3: a fancy one when they were infants, a heavy duty, but less fancy one when they were older and then a lightweight one when they were past the toddler phase. lol
