I used to be a career-driven, show-me-the-money girl. Since leaving my career and becoming a parent, my focus has changed greatly. I used to believe that my biggest accomplishment was climbing the corporate ladder. Looking at my life now, I see that my biggest accomplishment is being a mother.
Motherhood is challenging and it changes you. Until you have a child to call your own, you don’t fully appreciate how wonderful it is. Everyday I see the results of my hard work, dedication, commitment, and love.
Raising a child is no easy task. There is something new every day. Once you think you’ve figured them out, they change. Right now, my previously adventurous eater now only likes a handful of foods. I’m thankful that his choices are healthy ones, but I’d love to get him to try new foods.
Motherhood is stressful. It can be lonely. It is amazing. I try to remember…
There will come a day when The Boy won’t need me to help him with his jacket, reach his favorite Corn Flakes out of the cabinet, or pour him a glass of milk. With each day that passes, I know that day is closer. I remind myself to cherish each moment. Even the tough ones.
What’s your biggest accomplishment?

I agree. Mommyhood is hard. There is no manual or book on each specific child. It’s a learn as you go kind of job.

Motherhood is the hardest job! My biggest accomplishment is definitely my kids, but my Master’s Degree comes in second!
