Replace electrolytes and enhance energy naturally without caffeine with this delicious Raspberry Basil Mocktail made with Emergen-C Raspberry flavored fizzy drink mix, fresh basil, and seltzer water. If you’re looking for a signature summer drink, this Raspberry Basil Mocktail is what you’ve been searching for!
Living in New England means having a greater appreciation for the summer months. Gone are the long dark winter days. We welcome humidity with open windows – until the pollen comes calling! For my family and I, summer means getting outside – from sunrise to well beyond sunset.
Whether I am logging miles as I train for another half marathon, or we’re enjoying family time at the beach, we are outside as much as possible. After installing a quaint patio seating area with chimenea last summer, we are eager to invite our friends over to enjoy beautiful sunsets and delicious beverages, like this Raspberry Basil Mocktail.
While you’re at Walmart picking up Emergen-C, be sure to make a quick stop in the garden center for a basil plant. You’ll have fresh basil all summer long; and don’t worry – it’s easy to care for basil plants. They thrive in bright sunlight and once weekly watering. [Perfect for forgetful gardeners, like me!] Fresh basil smells amazing!
Slice the basil leaves Julienne style. Julienne style cuts are long, thin strips.
Place the basil strips in the bottom of your glass with 5-6 fresh raspberries. Muddle slightly to help release the flavors.
Add one packet of Emergen-C Raspberry to the glass.
Stir in Seltzer, garnish with basil leaves, a lime wedge and a few fresh raspberries.
