I have a confession. I am a race fan. Not just any type of racing, NASCAR racing! The Texan and I went to our first race at the Daytona International Speedway eight years ago. I’d never been that close to such a high drama, high intensity, high speed sport in my life. The sound of the cars whipping past you as the raced around the track was awesome. The rubber in my nose was not.

NASCAR has one of the fastest growing fan bases of sports in the nation. It’s easy to see why. The races are something that you can watch with your family and friends. Typically they race during the day, so you don’t need to worry about rushing to put the little ones to bed before it ends.     Yowzers…I should just make something up but this is convicting because my hubby loves Nascar and I can’t even tell you 100% for sure who is fave is…I’d guess Dale Jr, Jeff Gordon. But by golly I’m going to find out for sure because I feel like a terrible wife for not knowing. He doesn’t have a real die hard one or none kind of attitude in his sports. He likes many for many different reasons.

    I don’t really have a favorite. I just like watching all that power and speed and admire the dedication of all the drivers.
