Every mom wants her baby being comfortable while sleeping. Babies do sleep a lot, despite the rumor that they’re crying and eating all of the time! Every mom wants a beautiful heirloom to pass along to family members.
The Baby Ota swaddle blanket originated in the Czech Republic hundreds of years ago. It’s original purpose was to keep babies warm through the frigid Czech winters. The blanket started as fabric simply tied with strings, it was know as the zavinovacka [Sounds like: zah-veen-oh-vach-ka], or wrap-me blanket.
Traditionally, a zavinovacka was made by a family member as a gift to an expecting mother. Once baby grew out of the zavinovacka, mothers could pass it down to the next expecting family member, making the zavinovacka a family generational heirloom.
The Baby Ota swaddle blanket is much easier to use than the traditional swaddle blankets. Watch this 30-second video to see for yourself.
One of my favorite things about the Baby Ota is that it is made from eco-friendly Bamboo and hand-selected cottons. Comfy and cozy. Perfect for a new baby. Because of the use of natural bamboo, the Baby Ota repels insects in nature and around your baby. The design of the blanket mimics baby’s placement in the womb and encourages limited movement.
If we’re fortunate enough to have another baby, I’ll be purchasing my own Baby Ota swaddle blanket!
