I can feel the busyness of the holiday season creeping in. There are projects to be done (anyone else painting kitchen cabinets?!), work to complete, and life to live. With a seemingly endless to-do list, sometimes making time for lunch doesn’t take priority. We all know that not taking care of our bodies makes us more susceptible to catching colds and just feeling run down. Let’s put a stop to it together by following these tips for staying healthy during holiday season.
1| Make a Master List. Create a list at the beginning of the month to ensure you stay on track with everything that you need to accomplish. In addition to my paper planner and digital calendar, I use a single-subject spiral bound notebook for planning and making sure I accomplish everything that needs to get done. There is nothing more satisfying than scratching something off the list.
2| Delegate Chores. Think about the projects and tasks that others can do for you. Perhaps hiring a cleaning service for the holiday seasons would relieve stress for you. Maybe having your husband tackle the laundry for a week would help you most. Whatever it is, ask for help and let others do the work.
3| Refuel with Healthy Choices. Everyone knows this time of year is especially busy, but that is no excuse for making poor choices when it comes to fueling your body. One of my favorite go-to foods are V8 Protein Bars and Shakes. They are packed with amazing ingredients: protein from milk, soy, pea, brown rice, and quinoa. Veggies from Sweet Potatoes and Carrots. And sweetened with honey, brown rice syrup, and sugar. Storing the shakes in the refrigerator makes them ready to go any time you need a quick pick-me-up meal or snack. The Shakes are available in chocolate or vanilla and the bars offer three flavors: chocolate peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, and chocolate pomegranate.
4| Get Moving. Remember to incorporate some fresh air and exercise into your daily routine. Being outdoors always clears my head and is a great way to recharge. Even in the cooler temperatures!
The next time you’re shopping at your neighborhood Walmart for holiday gifts and decorations, swing by the health and beauty aisle and pick up V8 Protein Shakes and Bars.
I found a coupon on the box of bars and the shakes, too!

Wow, you are painting kitchen cabinets right before/during the holidays? That sounds like something I would do. #client

I am crazy, for sure! Right now, a cabinet door is off and has been primed/painted to ensure that the color is right. Now to find the time to paint the rest!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
