Happy Friday! I am beyond excited that it is finally Spring. Yesterday the sun was shining and the temps were spring-like! It would have been a great day to take photos for this week in photos recap, but I just enjoyed it! Does anyone have Mother’s Nature’s telephone number, I need to call her and remind her as the forecast had snowflakes on it for next week. Ugh. No more snow. Please. Please.
I am digging the sunshine. A lot.
As you know, I’ve spent some time working on spring cleaning. I get so motivated to clean and organize. Nothing is safe. I’m working on making our kitchen work better for us. Part of that meant moving our everyday dishes around a bit.
I love the bright pops of color from our Fiestaware and our limited edition Ball mason jars. Green is the color for 2014. Don’t you love how it pairs with the blue? I can’t stop looking at them.
The bright sunshine last weekend made me long for the beach. So we went. Our first beach trip of 2014 was spent wearing winter coats and trying not to be blown away. Here’s to being just one day closer to summer.
We’ve eaten well this week, too. Eating well is important. Feed your body delicious foods, like this simple risotto. You want a bite, don’t you?
I can’t write this post without sharing our Leprechaun Trap. The Boy had a blast making it. We’ll be vacuuming glitter until July, but so worth it.
The trap didn’t work. Bummer. But, the Leprechaun was nice enough to leave a note applauding the effort and a little Captain America figure instead.
St. Patrick’s Day is also my half-Birthday. The Texan and The Boy made me a half-birthday cake. It was delicious and so fun!
Busy week, right?
What are you doing with yours?
