Woo-hoo! I am chugging along in this week in the life project. It’s so fun to work on this, and take a closer look at our wonderful life and how we’re living it.
It goes without saying, that September 11 is a day of reflection. A time to be thankful for our lives, our loved ones, and our military forces.
The Boy spent the morning at school. Learning and growing. Exploring and making friends. I love that he is excited for school and is an eager learner. I hope this continues his entire life. I spend part of my mornings on school days making his lunch. It’s fun to pack different foods, and see what he’ll eat with his peers.
On Wednesday, he almost didn’t eat lunch. I left it at home. Don’t worry, I brought it to him. I wouldn’t let him go hungry.
I shared our messy dining room table. And, confessed that it looked that way on Tuesday as well.
After school, we relaxed with Buzz. I love the Toy Story movies.
We enjoyed the gorgeous weather too. Did you see my beautiful hydrangea? Oh my – it is so vibrant! Those coffee grounds that I’ve been feeding it are working. {Surprising as I drink decaf most of the time!}
The Boy did some trimming of the hedges. With pliers. Kids are so creative. I love to watch his imagination at work.
We had a picnic in the den while The Texan was at rugby. Close to bedtime, The Boy decided that he needed to build a “base camp” in our living room and camp downstairs. He feel asleep quickly.
My photo journalling still focuses on things, rather than us. Hopefully by day seven I will have more of us and fewer photos of our things.
Be sure to follow along this week on Instagram as I continue to share my Week in the Life with you. I’m shooting for a daily post as well, but do keep in mind that life happens. If you’re interested in seeing what other’s Week In the Life looked like on Wednesday, check out the link party that Ali is hosting!
