In my blogging circles, we often discuss how we find energy and inspiration to write when we’re not in the mood. The responses range from “I don’t blog if I don’t feel like it” to “I write my content a week in advance” to how I do it…I am
Writing for You
I write because I hope to inspire one of you, to teach one of you to cook something, to give you a great gift idea, or encourage you to make a handmade gift for a newborn.
I am writing for you, because I appreciate each one of you. That’s why I have fun giveaways and share my feedback on things like a great eco-friendly family car.
I have many exciting ideas and series coming for 2013. I hope you’ll be around to learn and be inspired by them.
Thanks so much for inspiring me!
This post was written as part of BlogHer’s NaBloPoMo January 2013 challenge. Today’s prompt was “How do you find the energy to write when you’re not in the mood?” Sign ups to participate in this month’s Blog Roll are closed. You can still check out the participating bloggers and the daily prompts. Daily writing prompts can often become a great source of inspiration and encourage you to write about things you haven’t previously explored.

Through reading your blog and others, I have learned so many different things. I have discovered new recipes, new products and that their are people out there going through the same things I am. That is why we love your blog. You bring new things to us all the time.

Thank you so much Tammy! I try to keep the content fresh and engaging. So happy that you’re enjoying it!
Have a wonderful weekend.

you definitely inspire me to cook!
Emily says
Thanks, Alicia! Watch for even more tasty recipes this year – and hopefully better photography, too!

I like to write for myself, too. It can be quite a cathartic experience. 🙂

Very true! And writing for yourself can be rewarding and relaxing.

I schedule posts when I’m feeling particularly chatty. That way I can pump out good content for the future to plan for times when my mind just isn’t working the way I want it to.
PS: I love the embroidered onesie, and I’m going to make one for my German mama friend with Germany on it instead 🙂
Emily says
That’s a smart idea, Shary. I try to schedule posts when I know that I am going to be particularly busy for a long period of time, but generally they post same day, or the following day.
If you do make the onesie for your friend, I’d love to see a photo of it!
Have a great weekend!

One of my biggest problems is actually getting the content up on the site. I have 5 posts that are totally writte, photos are taken, and…here they sit. I’ll schedule them out this week. Hopefully.
Emily says
Geesh Greta! I wish that I had 5 posts ready to go! You’re good girlie!

Sometimes I play games, or browse pintrest until I get an idea and/or the energy.

Pinterest is a great source for inspiration. I’ve found so many fun crafts and recipes there. Wish that I invented it!
Headant says
That’s why I’m starting a writing challenge. I need something to write just for me.
Emily says
Good for you! A Writing challenge is a great way to challenge yourself and share things you wouldn’t normally share.
