Are you looking to laugh until your sides hurt? Then you’ll love Jenny Lawson’s Let’s Pretend This Never Happened!
Think the name Jenny Lawson rings a bell? That’s because she is The Bloggess. When I first started blogging I stumbled upon her blog and her awesome response to those who believe bloggers should work for free! From that day on, I was a fan.
Her book – now available in paperback! – reads much like a blog; it bounces around and there are a few run on sentences. The language is colorful, some may call it vulgar. I don’t swear as a general practice, but didn’t find it offensive in the book. Of course, you may feel differently. She’s telling us her story of always wanting to fit in, but never quite doing so. Her story made me feel okay about my own shortcomings and prompted me to {work on} appreciating the shortcomings of others.
If you are interested in following Jenny Lawson via social media you can find her on Twitter , Facebook and, of course, her blog.
