December is a month full of celebrations, dinner parties, and fun adult beverages! I was thrilled to have the opportunity to sample two of Torani’s season syrups. The folks at Torani sent me one bottle each of the Hazelnut and Gingerbread flavors – both bottles were sugar-free which isn’t my preference as I try to avoid artificial sweeteners.
Our local liquor store carries a double chocolate vodka that I had my eyes on for some time, but didn’t know what I would do with an entire bottle of it. That was before I received the Torani hazelnut syrup!
Chocolate Hazelnut Martini
Whenever we have a date night, I always want to try a fancy drink, but am never bold enough to do so. In my own home, that is a different story! I opened the Torani sugar-free Hazelnut syrup and couldn’t believe how delicious it smelled, like fresh hazelnuts! I quickly got to work grabbing my drink shaker and loading it with ice. As you know, I’m not a fan of measuring, but do it for my lovely readers (that’s you!) on occasion.
To the icey shaker, add 1 1/2 parts double chocolate vodka, 1 part Torani sugar-free hazelnut syrup. Put the lid to your shaker on securely. Double check to make sure it is tightly sealed. Trust me on this one! Shake well.
Pour your beautiful concoction into a martini glass rimmed with chocolate flavored syrup. Toss in a few mini chocolate chips and enjoy!
If you’d like to have a creamier flavor, add a splash of half & half or milk to your shaker. Doing this will change the color to a milky white and enhance the flavor just a bit.
Please take a few minutes to visit the Torani website, they have an amazing selection of syrup flavors. To download a coupon, click on this link.

Oh Yum! I have had different chocolate martinis when eating out but I’ve never known how to make my own.
