Can you believe it is time to start planning for Halloween already? It’s important to be out there and see what’s hot & trendy for decorations. And when I say “be out there” I mean, grab your laptop or smartphone and hit Pinterest like a sale on Coach bags. That’s just what I did.
I’ve come to terms with the understanding that The Boy is getting older. Sigh. Which means now our family traditions will really begin. I’d love to decorate my front yard, front door and the entire interior of the house for every holiday and season. But let’s face it, Martha Stewart is the only one who really does that. Right?
Our front door is red, which does not lend itself well to most of the Halloween inspired wreaths. Maybe I’ll make a smaller version to hang in our hallway instead. It would give me a chance to play with yarn and a glue gun. Fun! Fun!
Trick or treaters don’t visit our neighborhood. Probably because most of our neighbor’s are seasonal, or elderly, or both. I love these treat bag toppers though, and might make them for The Boy’s classmates. {Filled with healthier treats!}
I think it’s really fun to put together a kid-friendly craft for each holiday. I happen to be a sucker for handprint and footprint art projects!
Have you been pinning any Halloween goodies?
Be sure to check back tomorrow morning for Whip It up Wednesday, my new linky party featuring all things DIY! {Please come by and link up your favorite handmade project. It can be a recipe, a tshirt, a bench, or a painting. Anything crafty goes!!}
