Ask The Texan where I get my desire for a neat, clean car and he’ll tell you that I get it from my father. {As well as a long list of other quirks we can talk about on another day.}
It’s winter here. Which means I spend sometime each day gazing out my windows dreaming of sunny skies, warmer temps, and planting my butt in a chair on the beach. One, of many, amazing advantages to living on Cape Cod is having the ability to pack up our SUV and drive out onto the beach. As a mom, I can’t think of a more convenient way to haul all of the beach toys and coolers to the beach.
There is a downfall to having that convenience.
Your vehicle gets dirty. The warm, salty air is pounding at it all day. When you climb in, all of the sand stuck between your toes is dumped inside. Do you know how difficult it is to get beach sand out of car floor mats? When I was a kid, and we’d drive out in my dad’s Jeep {Which wasn’t called an SUV. It was just a JEEP.} and he’d make us brush off the soles of our feet with a whisk broom! I deal with the sand now, but I’m sure once The Boy is old enough, he’ll be brushing off his feet with a whisk broom too!
What tips do you have for keeping your vehicle clean?

None…my car is a mess all the time and it drives me crazy!!! Although in the Summer baby powder gets all the sand off the kids before they get in the car!
I don’t live near the beach, but my car is dirty all the time too! I can barely keep my house clean, let a lone the car!
