April is one of my favorite months of the year. Typically, the snow stops falling and everything comes to live again. And, on April 22 we celebrate Earth Day. Raising awareness about recycling, repurposing things, and reducing our waste is so important. Here are three easy changes you can start doing to help celebrate earth day everyday:
Use recycled paper products. Toilet paper and paper towel made from recycled materials hold up a lot better than they did just 5 years ago. By purchasing these times, you’re making a healthy choice for the environment.
Repurpose items. Don’t throw away a changing table because your children are grown. Remove the changing table attachment, paint the piece using an eco-friendly paint, and use the changing table in your dining room to store linens and art supplies. Instead of tossing the jars from tomato sauces and pickles, keep them and use them to store leftover soup, homemade lemonade, or as vases for flowers.
