Last month, I talked about making a conscious effort to use my big girl camera more often. And it was just talk. My February photos were ALL taken with my iPhone – except for the photos I took for blog posts.
Despite being a short month, we managed to pack in a lot of fun! We celebrated Valentine’s Day and spruced up our home with fun DIY painted pillow covers.
We played in the snow. A lot. Our house is behind that 7 foot snow bank. Oh what a winter!
The snow pushed back The Boy’s 100th Day of School celebration. He was so excited to finally celebrate. His teacher interviewed him and he drew corresponding pictures for each statement. This one couldn’t be truer. He is obsessed with Transformers right now!
I mentioned in my menu plan post that I was cooking a whole chicken in the crock pot breast side down. It turned out to be the most amazing chicken we’ve had in a long time. {We also enjoyed chicken pot pie and make homemade chicken stock!}
The Texan turned a year older in February and The Boy wanted to make cupcakes. He did most of the work – besides the oven!
I am so excited to see our Zutano avocado seed starting to sprout. We should be able to plant it soon. Cross your fingers that we have an avocado tree one day!
We took a field trip to check out the rugby field at Mass Maritime Academy. It was covered beneath four to six foot snow drifts. Driving around campus, we saw the ship the cadets use for their semester at sea program. The ice floating around it was amazing!
For the month of March, I hope to take more black and white photos. You know, like I said I would last month! One thing at a time, right? Do you have any photography goals for this year?
