I do not like toxic chemicals. There I said it. But, if you’ve been following my blog for a bit, then you already know that. Afterall, I am the girl who washes her hair with baking soda and rinses it with vinegar. {Yep, still doing it. And, still loving it!}
When I clean my home, I use everyday products. Like baking soda, vinegar, and Bon Ami. These products are free of toxins and good for the environment. I have wanted to try the “mainstream” environmentally friendly cleaning products, but don’t want to make the financial commitment only to learn that they don’t work. When I was contacted to review the Clorox Greenworks Products, I jumped at the chance. What the heck, right?
Green Works® Naturally Derived Cleaning Wipes are made with naturally derived ingredients, like citric acid and wood fibers. These are durable wipes, I’d be willing to say they could hold their own against a more traditional item. I love that there are no harsh chemical fumes or leave behind harsh chemical residue. Oh, and if I had a compost bin, I’d be able to toss them in after using because they’re 100 percent biodegradable! These wipes are safe for use on most non-wood surfaces, including acrylic, fiberglass and vinyl.
Green Works® Naturally Derived All-Purpose Cleaner powers through grease, grime and dirt without leaving behind harsh chemical fumes or residues. I loved, loved, loved this one! I think The Texan did too…he hates that the kitchen always smells of vinegar. Of course, I can’t smell it! This All Purpose Cleaner is safe to use on multiple surfaces throughout the kitchen and bathroom, including counters, appliances, stainless steel, sealed granite, chrome, cooktop hoods, sinks and toilets.
Green Works® Naturally Derived Bathroom Cleaner is made with plant- and mineral-based cleaning ingredients that power through soap scum, rust and hard water stains — without harsh chemical fumes and residue. We’ve just moved back into our bathroom, after a long summer of outdoor showers. I’ll confess, I didn’t open the shower curtain once during the summer. The liner was a bit grungy looking and I thought that I would have to replace it. But after a few squirts, we’re good to go. All visible signs of the soap scum are gone! It works powerfully on bathroom counters, sinks, bathtubs, tile and shower doors, too.
The first few products I tried were so impressive, I couldn’t wait to try the Laundry Detergent. We’re particular about our laundry detergent as The Texan has sensitive skin. We typically purchase perfume and dye free products. A great thing about the Green Works® Laundry Detergent is that it is tough on dirt and stains — and dermatologist-tested for sensitive skin. The powerful combination of naturally derived cleaning ingredients will leave laundry fresh and clean — without phosphates, optical brighteners or harsh chemical residue. The detergent is formulated for both standard and high-efficiency (HE) washers.
