Today I was listening to Dr. Oz on satellite radio. It was a repeat. I thought that it was funny to have a repeat of a radio program, particularly since I was listening to a premium radio service.
However, I am glad that I was listening in. His guest on this episode was journalist Michael Pollan, author of the Omnivore’s Dilema. Mr. Pollan researched where four different meals come from and wrote a book about his experiences. Wow – talk about an interesting 40 minutes of radio. I can’t believe that I haven’t read this book. Yes. I downloaded it to my Kindle before sitting down to write this entry.
What I took away from the radio broadcast: Pay attention to what your food eats. Isn’t that something? Do we really know what our chickens, cows and salmon are being fed?
I have a lot of research to do before I can implement the Health theme into my family’s eating plan for this year.
