It’s been a while since I wrote a weekly menu plan. Our grocery bill is slowly creeping up. And, I think my waistline is too. My pants are feeling a little snug. Neither of those things makes me happy. To stop the grocery bill from sky rocketing, and to ensure my spring and summer clothes will fit, I need to get back to healthy living.
In addition to increasing my daily water consumption – thanks to my ZeroWater pitcher – I’m going to give these recipes a try:
Baked Zucchini Sticks! Yummy. Y’all remember that in my old life I worked for a big ol’ restaurant company, we used to have fried zucchini on our appetizer menu. I love it. Going to try this healthier twist on an old favorite.
Skinny Green Tropical Smoothie! This looks delicious, and so healthy…minus the coconut. I’m not a fan, but I will give it a shot. Just once.
And, I might try this one, too. It’s a Skinny Green Monster. Smoothies are an easy way to add the much needed vitamins to your diet, and they are fun to drink, too. I mean, who doesn’t love to drink out of a straw??
For a snack, I am going to make a batch of my Tabasco Baked Almonds. These are a big hit in our house.
I think I’ll get back to menu planning in the coming weeks. It really helped the budget and kept me feeling healthy, too. What tips do you use to ward of the winter weight gain and get back into shape for the warmer months?

I make zucchini fries like that and they are SO good. I think they’re even better than the fried kind. If you find out the secret to losing winter weight gain, let me know!
