Since becoming a mother and moving to New England, my style of dress is more laid back than when I was living in Florida. I suppose a small reason for the change in my wardrobe is that I am no longer a career woman, and don’t wear fancy clothing anymore.
Lately, however, I am feeling bored with my wardrobe. Most of the clothing I wear regularly is “toddler proof” – meaning that it was affordable and I won’t be too upset when it’s cover in paint…or worse! I’m sure you have much of the same in your closet – a collection of cute tops, long sleeved tees, cardigans, corduroys and jeans.
Today while at our local Children’s museum, I was so impressed by how fancy the mothers were dressed. Many of them looked like they were heading to the office. I cannot imagine wearing a beautiful button down to chase my son around a museum. In heels no less!
The fall fashions seem to be geared toward working women. I’m tired of wearing the same old outfits, day after day. It is so difficult to find cute tops to wear that won’t make me look overdressed. Or caused me to be overstressed about doing fun things with The Boy, like finger painting or jumping in the leaves.
What fall fashions are you incorporating into your wardrobe? How to you keep your wardrobe relevant without braking the bank?
