I was excited to see blue skies today, even though they have given way to dark clouds. The sky was the bluest I have seen in months. It reminded me of the summer, and of the long days we’ll spend at the beach.
We’re fortunate enough to live just minutes away from a beautiful beach, and pack up our vehicle as often as possible and head out to enjoy the day. And when I say pack up, I mean it!
By the looks of the truck, we have everything. I know you must think we’re crazy for bringing so much stuff! We drive onto the beach in our truck and park for the day. We have our grill, chairs, and coolers full of food and drink. The one thing we do not have is portable power in case our cell phone batteries die while we’re there. I often check my email from the beach; and because it’s far from a cell tower the battery is drained quickly while trying to grab the signal.

We don’t have a portable power source either, but yes it would come in handy. I like bringing my iPod to the beach for the day. 😉
