Our week in photos makes us look like we’re constantly on the go. We’re not. Not really. It’s that time of year when a lot of fun events and activities are going on. Ah, the holidays. Love ’em or leave ’em, right?
On Saturday evening, we rode The Train to Christmas Town as part of a media event. It was well orchestrated and I’d recommend you adding it to your holiday traditions this year.
A great benefit to attending a Christmas event early in the season is that you get to meet Santa! Loved getting that out of the way before Thanksgiving!
It’s been cool (err….cold) here. That makes we want to bake. This week, we made pumpkin muffins to share with The Boy’s preschool class and chocolate chip cookies. Confession: we didn’t share the cookies with anyone. For some reason, I cannot bring myself to share chocolate chip cookies. I just love them too much.
The Texan and I scooted up to Boston on Wednesday to attend opening night of A Christmas Story, The Musical. It was an amazing performance. Our seats we just eight rows from the stage, it was like being in the show! (No photos of the performance were permitted, but here’s a quick shot of the playbill.)
In the car on the way to Boston, I had the most delicious treat. Have you tried the Pure Bars before? Oh my gosh, it was so good. I could seriously eat these around the clock.
I’ve been really focusing on our food budget, and this week we were supposed to have a roasted chicken on Thursday night. Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon Bell & Evens fresh whole chickens for $1.99 per pound at Whole Foods. I only purchased one, but now I’m kicking myself for not buying more. I roasted it in the oven last night and it was delicious.
We’re getting ready for Christmas around here, like many people. I was thrilled to snag a Lego Advent calendar for The Boy. Bernard, our Elf on the Shelf, is going to leave it for him to find on December 1.
What are you doing with yours?
If you’ve been stopping by the blog regularly, than you’re already aware that I love to share my week in photos from Instagram photos almost every Friday. It’s a great way to give you a little peak into my {super awesome} life and share my quirkiness too. (I’m @naptimeismytime on Instagram and would love you to follow me over there!) I link this post with the awesome InstaFriday series over at LifeRearranged. You should check that out too, lots of great photos and great ladies hanging out!
