I promise, I haven’t lost my mind. While January is the official start of the new year, it’s the month of September that signals a new year for me. Even though I haven’t been a student for years, I still feel like things are given a fresh start every September.
September gives you another shot at a clean slate. Office supplies are more affordable and new planners are being debuted. September is a great time to reflect on your yearly goals, household finances, and your health.
This morning, I dropped The Boy off for his first day of second grade. He’s excited, I promise!
And in a few days, I’ll celebrate my birthday. (Shout out to all my fellow Virgos! We’re going to rock this year even more than last year!)
A few goals that I set for this calendar year were to complete a half-marathon (I’ve completed two, one more to go and I’ll receive a snazzy jacket!)
get out and explore the beauty of Cape Cod,
and enjoy some quality cocktails. What? We can’t be good all the time!
As I think about my goals for the remainder of this calendar year, and the next twelve months, one thing I want to tackle is my closet. I know that I need to do another major purge. I’m hanging on to clothing that I know I will never wear again. My plan is to create an awesome wardrobe that looks great on me, and is both affordable and classy.
