I’ve written before that I believe motherhood is my biggest accomplishment, but it is also the most exhausting job that I’ve ever had. I have days where I wonder if I am making the right choices as The Boy cries hysterically in the check out line. Often, another mother will glance over at me and give me that look. You know the look, the one that says “I’ve been there. You’re doing a great job.”
This Mother’s Day weekend, I am making a conscious effort to recognize the mothers that are a part of my life and the mothers that I run into in my daily life. Many of my fellow “mom” friends live far away, I was excited to discover that JOHNSON’S® Baby “Care Cards” were established as a way to easily share positive messages of encouragement to moms across the country. It’s important to me that I encourage other moms and new moms. Every mom has wondered if they’re doing a good job, or if they’re doing something the right way. I often tell new moms that they should follow their instincts and trust that what they’re doing is what is best for their family.
You can join JOHNSON’S® Baby “Care Cards” by creating and sending a digital Care Card to a special mom in your life on Facebook. For every card sent, shared or liked, JOHNSON’S® Baby will donate $1.00 to Save the Children®, up to $150,000, to benefit early childhood education. I just checked, and the donation is over $76,000 already! It feels great to do something nice for someone you love, while helping others in need. Research shows that early education, including prenatal moms and babies at birth, is critical to a child’s healthy advancement. Through JOHNSON’S® support of Save the Children’s® Early Steps to School Success program, they are helping to provide moms with the skills and knowledge to successfully support their child’s growth from pregnancy until school age.
To all the moms reading this, know that you are doing a fantastic job. That the days are long, but the years are short. Happy Mother’s Day!

What a great program! I personally have many days where I feel like I am doing a miserable job at parenting. As a mother, it is always nice to hear that you are doing a good job.

I agree! And for what it’s worth, I think you do a great job everyday!
