love & envelopes & thank you’s

If you knew me in real life, then you’d know how much I love birthdays.   Not just my own,  either.  I love everyone’s  birthdays.   It is wonderful that for one day out of the year, the entire day is spent showering the birthday person with love and attention.    Everything is all about you on your birthday.   {Unless,  of course,  you’re a twin.}   When I saw that the lovely,  and fabulous,  April was kicking off a birthday girls club back in June,  I had to get in on it!

Finally,  my birthday month rolled around.    Not only was I excited because it was my birthday month,  but I knew I was going to start receiving birthday surprises from fellow club members.   Woo-hoo!    You’ve probably already figured out that I was checking my post office box almost daily.    When each card arrived,  I put it aside to be opened on my special day.   {Yep,  I’m dorky like that.}

I felt like a child on Christmas morning,  all giddy with excitement.   As I opened each envelope I thought to myself,  “Did I send a birthday card to her yet?”  and  “Oh,  I can’t wait to check out her blog!”  and “Is there going to be confetti in here?”
