The Boy has decided to exercise his freedom of choice when it comes to meal times. I find it quite interesting that nearly all of the foods he refuses are foods that I refused to eat while pregnant. Theory: Toddlers won’t eat it if their prego moms didn’t eat it. Hmm…is there a study out there that supports my theory? Why aren’t we given meal ideas for picky toddlers when we leave the hospital?!
Anyhow, The Texan is freaking out because The Boy won’t eat chicken, steak, or turkey. (Evidently, if you’re from Texas, you believe life isn’t complete without a dead animal on your plate?) But give The Boy a crab cake and watch out! He goes to town with those. I’ve been trying to come up with creative ways to ensure he’s getting an ample supply of protein, fats, and carbohydrates regularly.
