Earlier this month I had a brilliant idea to recap my favorite posts from the month before. Only it was 22 days into the month. Shall we say too little, too late? Since we're all so busy, and presumably follow so many blogs, here's a few highlights of what went on at Nap Time is My Time last month.
April was a busy month for me in my real life. What was I doing? Oh yeah, still gathering crap for our taxes. Can you believe that nonsense?! Anyhow, that busyness {and other crap} caused me not to complete Ask Anna’s Spring Cleaning Challenge. Bummer, I was really excited about getting my home into tip top, squeaky clean shape. I did mange to complete her first three challenges – drapes, dusting and washing vents. Self-high five for effort!
There were two current event stories that were closely related, and so important for parents of small children. You’ll remember the Applebee’s restaurant in Michigan serving up Margaritas in kid’s cups and the Olive Garden restaurant in Florida swapping Sangria for one toddler’s orange juice. Yikes. On a positive note, the toddlers involved were not expected to have any longterm health problems as a result of either accident. Olive Garden did step up and do the right thing by apologizing to the mom involved. Big high five to Dave Pickens, President of Olive Garden.
I did have some time to write a guest post over on While He Was Napping. I even featured three amazing bloggers here – read April’s post from Mama on a Green Mission here, Amanda from Thoughts from Her wrote this great post here, and Cary one of the Quirk Out girls wrote this funny post here.
I shared two great recipes with you – one for Chicken Caesar Salad and the other for Eggless Banana Muffins. Did you try them? I’d love to hear how they turned out for you.
In April I also produced my first YouTube video review!! I saw produced like I’m on my way to Hollywood or something. Gourmet, artisan marshmallows from 240Sweet. Your taste buds will be pissed if you don’t try these. If you missed my video, you can check it out here.
Phew! See, April was a busy month!
