We’re all busy, right? We all love cute things, right? That’s why I whipped up this super easy simple no sew pouch. This 15-minute craft is perfect for using up all the cute fabrics in your fabric stash. You DO have one of those, don’t you?
I have a little confession. My purse is a bit of a disaster. It’s typically stuffed with receipts, random lipglosses, plastic dinosaurs, and a healthy snack like a Chocolate Peanut Butter ZonePerfect® Nutrition Bar floating around. I’m always on the go – rushing to meeting my running partner, or to grab The Boy from school before racing to one activity or another. There are some days when I’m so hungry, and I need a good healthy snack option. ZonePerfect® bars are a favorite. Offered in many great tasting flavor combinations like Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Fudge Graham, and Cinnamon Roll, my cravings are kept in check and I’m getting the fiber and protein I’m looking for.
Clearly, my wreck of a purse needs some attention! This simple no sew pouch is perfect for holding all of the items that were floating around my purse, except for the plastic dinosaurs!
From my sewing cabinet, I grabbed a cute fat quarter of fabric, some fabric glue, sticky back velcro, a fun ruler, and a pair of scissors. [Note: If your fabric is wrinkled or creased, quickly iron it. This will add a few minutes to your craft item, but your finished result will be more polished!]
I cut the fabric in half to create two rectangles approximately 18 inches by 11 inches in size. Set one rectangle to the side for another project or to make a second no sew pouch.
Place your fabric wrong side up on your work surface. Fold approximately one inch of the long side in to make a seam. Repeat on the other side. Add a thin line of fabric glue to the length of the fabric. Fold over the flaps of fabric and press down. Repeat on the other side.
Next, add a small line of fabric glue on the top and bottom of the piece and fold it over about an inch and press down.
Add a strip of fabric glue about six inches long on both sides starting at the bottom. Then fold the fabric up, leaving a couple inches of fabric for the top flap.
Position your velcro piece in the center of the fabric and remove the adhesive backing and press it onto the fabric.
Remove the adhesive backing from the other side of the velcro and attach it to the flap. Let the finished no sew pouch set for about five minutes before filling with ZonePerfect® bars.
ZonePerfect® are the perfect healthy snack for busy moms on the go! You know that life doesn’t slow down just because you’re hungy. Grab a ZonePerfect® bar, they’ll satisfy your cravings and give you no less than 10 grams of protein per bar!
