In October, I’m heading to the beautiful city of Atlanta for the 7th Annual Type-A Parent Conference. What’s the Type-A Parent Conference? It’s the world’s largest conference for parents who blog. And the parents who blog, blog about a variety of subjects, too. You’ll meet dads who blog about technology and moms who are food bloggers.
While it can be hard to sneak away for a weekend, I make it a priority to put the Type-A Parent Conference on my calendar as soon as the dates are announced! Here are my top 5 reasons to attend:
1| Amazing Environment – The conference is structured to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and part of the group. There’s no outboarding, no “clique-y” parties. Everyone is included in the activities and sessions. The days are well thought out, and if you’re introverted like me – there is just enough down time to recharge your batteries! You won’t know what I mean unless you register!
2| Education – There are hands on sessions and group sessions which really allow you to hone your skills. You may improve your media kit, enhance your LinkedIn profile, or learn how to improve your photography. All the knowledge is here; it’s up to you to register!

5| The Food – It goes without saying that the food in the south is flavorful and delicious. The food provided as part of your conference pass is great. There is a variety of healthy foods, not-so-healthy foods, and, there is bacon at breakfast. The restaurants near the hotel are a perfect place to connect with other bloggers and explore a bit of Atlanta.
