With the summer strawberry harvest season upon us, now is the perfect time to create a simple and delicious dessert to pair with convenient protein packed meals that leave you satisfied longer.
Typically, I am the one who makes dinner for our family. But, when it’s time for a girls’ night out, I don’t have the time to spend in the kitchen. That’s when I take a little help from the freezer aisle at my local Walmart. Thanks to STOUFFER’S® Fit Kitchen meals, I don’t have to worry about my husband having a balanced meal those nights that I’m not there to make dinner.
These mouth-watering STOUFFER’S® Fit Kitchen meals are perfect for quick weeknight meals. Packed with 25 grams of protein or more, these single-serving meals take just 10-minutes to prepare.
To round out the meal, I prepared Strawberries with Balsamic Vinegar. It is a better for you dessert option, and it doesn’t require baking!
What You’ll Need
1 quart of strawberries, cleaned and quartered
1 tablespoon of Balsamic Vinegar
1 teaspoon of granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper, freshly ground
What You’ll Do
In a small bowl, combine the strawberries with the sugar.
And then add the balsamic vinegar and black pepper. Stir gently to combine.
Refrigerate for 20 minutes prior to eating.
This light, summer dessert tastes like you’ve spent hours in the kitchen preparing it. Just like the STOUFFER’S® Fit Kitchen Steak Fajita and Cilantro Lime Chicken entrees do.
The STOUFFER’S® Fit Kitchen Steak Fajita combines tender prime rib steak in smoked red chile sauce with a mix of red and green peppers and seasoned brown rice.
If chicken is your preference, the STOUFFER’S® Fit Kitchen Cilantro Lime Chicken combines white meat chicken with black bean and corn mix and seasoned brown rice with a verde tomatillo sauce.
You can’t go wrong with any of the STOUFFER’S® Fit Kitchen varieties. Look for four other flavors Rotisserie Seasoned Turkey, Bourbon Steak, Oven Roasted Chicken, and Monterey Chicken with the STOUFFER’S® Single Serve Entrées in the freezer aisle.

Hi, Emily!
At the first glance I would say that sweet fruits like strawberries will never go well with black pepper or vinegar, but they taste great!
