The Boy turned three on Monday. I really cannot believe it. How could he be three years old already?
I know now that there is truth behind the statements “Time flies” and “They grow quickly”. How many times did you hear those words while you were pregnant? I’ve found that time does fly, particularly between age one going forward. As your child grows, each day is filled with a new adventure.
For me, the best part of parenting has been watching my son develop his skills. When he first started walking, he stumbled and fell often. Now he runs like a marathoner! His long, muscular legs propelling him across the backyard, the playground, and over every piece of furniture we own. Like most kids, when he first used a spoon most of his food ended up on his shirt, his face or the floor. Now, he wipes his face with a napkin.
The joy that I feel when I watch him master something that he’s struggled with is overwhelming. I’m proud of his accomplishments and look forward to watching him continue to grow.
What is the best part of parenting for you?

If you don’t parent, what is the best part about not having kids?” Sign ups to participate in this month’s Blog Roll are now closed, but you may check out the participating bloggers here and the daily prompts are available here.

Children do grow up so quickly. Cherish the time you have with them at all ages. Each stage of life is important…even when they are adults. Be proud of their accomplishments and independence. My children are grown, but we are still very close. I treasure all the memories we have and those to come. The best part of parenting: Your Children

I agree–it’s amazing how time flies. I think my favorite part of watching my daughter grow is getting glimpses of the person she’s growing up to be, and her personality.
