With 19 days of Kindergarten under our belts, we’re adjusting to our new routine and life doesn’t seem as hectic. Even though it is. The Boy is up and out the door at 7:30 each morning; that means earlier bedtimes.
I know he needs his rest.
But, it’s hard on me. I miss the carefree days of preschool. The weeks where I had two days to play with him. Kindergarten means he’s growing up. And fast. One day I am going to wake up and he’s not going to want to play with me any more. Until that day comes, I’ll sneak in all the play time I can get.
Part of our new routine means packing a lunch every day. The Boy’s school doesn’t have a cafeteria; which means no reprieve for us!
While The Boy was off at school, I made an amazing discovery at Whole Foods Market. They have flavored organic creamer. Game changer friends. It’s the perfect accompaniment to chai tea. And, at 35 calories per serving, it is so worth it. Just vanilla-y enough without being overly sweet. Try it, you’ll thank me.
This week, I created a Happy Mom-iversary gift for a friend. Have you seen it? There’s a great tutorial on how to make a cute piece of custom art for a little girl’s bedroom.
How was your week? I’m going to pop over to Life Rearranged and link up with Jeanett’s InstaFriday post. It’s always a fun way to peek inside the lives of others.
