Day Five. Week in the Life. I find myself NOT taking as many pictures as I was on day 1 and day 2. We’re experiencing a lot of events and moments, yet I’m not as eager to grab my camera. It hasn’t become second nature for me, which is disappointed as I quite hoped it would have. I do suppose it takes longer than five days to create a habit.
Here’s our Friday Week in the Life summary
As usual, I woke before everyone else. One of the favorite parts of the day is sitting quietly while the sun beats down on me as I drink my coffee. Mother Nature had other plans for me today!
I knew I wanted to paint The Boy’s knightly shield, so I had to get outside quickly. I wonder what my neighbors thought of the sounds of a spray paint can being shaken before 7 am.
I sprayed it white. Found that the spray paint is not that great. I thought I could get away with a cheap paint for white. Lesson learned. Always buy the good stuff. Always.
After taking The Boy to school, I met a friend for coffee. YAY for good coffee and reconnecting! Then it was off to the grocery store. This was the list that I started….$200 later I was on my way home. Who knew that we needed so much! How much do you spend on groceries? Even with menu planning, I feel like we spend too much money on food. And, sadly, a lot of it is being wasted. I need to get a handle on this.
I rushed off to pick up The Boy from school. Another awesome day! Super excited with our decision to switch to a new school. I had reservations about it, but now feel like it was the right thing to do. It was rainy, he was thrilled to wear his space rain boots. And quite excited to see that I brought his LeapPad, too!
Despite spending a small fortune at the grocery store, we opted for Thai delivery. Yum. I love Thai and it’s been so long since we’ve had it. The Boy’s fortune:
I really hope that holds true. We try to teach him the importance of giving back and being kind.
Because Friday happened to be the thirteenth, here’s an obligatory photo of our kitty. She crossed my path several times on Friday.
Again…photos of stuff and not people! Yikes! I might have to do a two weeks in the life series to finally capture our week with people included!
