Are you an instagrammer? If you aren’t, what are you waiting for?! I love, love, love it! (I’m @naptimeismytime, would love you to follow me!) If you love it too, or think you might want to give it a try, you should check out the awesome InstaFriday series over at LifeRearranged. It’s a fun place to share your week in photos and take a look into the lives of others. So much fun!
We had some crazy weather this week. It was cloudy for five days straight. We woke in the wee hours to thunderstorms that reminded me of our days living in Central Florida. The Boy climbed in our bed that night, I enjoyed those few minutes of cuddling before he decided he was going back to his room.
There was a scary severe weather alert – heavy rain with heavy rain! Can you imagine?
The Texan and I snuck away to our new favorite date night spot on Sunday night for a little sunset and sips.
We shopped for school supplies for The Boy. I cannot believe that we are shopping for school supplies already. Earlier this year I shared how we were choosing a full-day Pre-K Program, after much thought, we decided to enroll him at another school. And because of our late decision, and it being an entirely new school for him, they’ve recommended a partial day program to help with the transition.
Look how excited he was for his first day! I don’t think he could have smiled bigger if he tried.
After a wonderful first day, and no tears from me or him, I rewarded myself.
It’s important to reward yourself now and again. I’m a firm believer that people need rewards to push forward. And one leftover Heineken was all I needed to get dinner on the table.
On Thursday night, we had tacos for dinner. Here’s how I cooked the shells.
You’re Welcome. {That’s a great tip, isn’t it?!}
To me, back to school is the official signal that fall is just a few days away. As much as I love the summer, I love everything pumpkin. Including coffee.
What are my plans for these photos and the many others that I’ve been sharing this summer. I plan to put them into a photobook! The folks at Shutterfly offer great prices (and discounts) on photobooks. I’m keeping my eyes peeled so I can grab one at a great price!
So, what have you been up to?
