I have discovered, since becoming a mother, that shopping in stores in no longer fun. It is no fun for The Boy, and even less fun for me.
Enter the world wide web.
There are multiple websites that offer online shopping for everything – and anything – that you can imagine. Each reputable company has an ecommerce cart that you can pack full of goodies before committing. I love that. When I am shopping in a brick and mortar, once I pick something up it rarely finds it’s place back on the shelf.
By shopping online, I save money by not purchasing those cute pants that I know I’ll never wear and by not grabbing a bag of chips on my way to the checkout line. I love that I am able to browse, and put things back without feeling awkward or that I am being judged by the store employees. “Is that lady trying to shoplift? She just had those jeans in her hand, she put them down. And see that blue shirt over there, she put that down too. I bet she’s trying to pull a fast one.” No, I’m not trying to pull a fast one. Sometimes, you see things, think you want them, but then realize that a blue shirt full of rhinestones and glitter just isn’t in your age group anymore!
