The last few months, I have been sharing tips with you on how to set up a successful small business. You may recall that I recently opened an Etsy shop of my own. YAY, me! I am proud of that accomplishment and my one sale, to date.
While I have dreams of one day having a brick and mortar shop to escape to, one that is full of smiling customers enjoying homemade cookies and muffins and freshly brewed coffee, I am happy with my on-line shop. For now.
Because I have a toddler in my life, it makes more sense for me to work inside my home and sell on-line. I transformed The Texan’s office into my workspace and keep my sewing machine, Cricut and all the necessary supplies in that room. I enjoy having that space, and knowing that my products are easily accessible to me for when those orders start rolling in.
I know that one day, not too far in the distance, The Boy will be all grown up and he won’t need me as much. And when that time comes, after shedding many tears, maybe then I’ll open that fancy brick and mortar shop. I can almost smell the homemade cookies, can you?
