to make my family greener, we use a lot less plastic and i try to buy local foods when avail
Trying to use less electricity and water.
we recycle everything, use CFLs and energy star appliances, turn off lights and unplug things, we garden and are going to start growing more foodstuffs, we are going to start composting
We have our own tiny veggie garden! Tiny garden, not tiny veggies. 🙂
We recycle plastics and anything else that needs recycling.
I use a glass straw for smoothies instead of plastic!
To be greener, our family does a few things: we have our own veggie and herbs garden which we water with filtered water, we make our own or buy earth friendly cleaning supplies, unplug appliances and things not being used (tho Daddy constantly plugs back in-grrr), new lightbulbs that are energy efficient and last a long time and we walk places when it is within reason.
we recycle as much as possible and might be moving closer to work so I can walk/ride a bike so I don’t have to use my car
We have switched bath and body products to pretty much 100% natural (or as close as you can get) and have been recycling more and using reusable bags for pretty much everything from snack/sandwiches and groceries.
recycling pop cans
We save the water while our shower is warming up and use it to water our vegetable garden.
We only use green cleaners, green diapers (we tried cloth for 5 months, but our daughter was having none of it, and I found myself changing her 2-3 times an HOUR), buy into a CSA, only feed our kids organic veg and meat…
We grow a garden and can our own veggies and such! And we eat alot of wild meat we shoot on our own land!
We always recycle. Also, I shop at thrift stores… why not be green with clothes too?!
we save literally everything so we can recycle it by making it into something new – emscout9 at Hotmail dot com
We use a water pitcher & have started our own garden
We bought all energy efficient appliances when we built our new house and my husband converted his car to run on vegetable oil!
On vegetable oil?! WOW! That’s great. I wish my car ran on that, too!
We recycle cans and are using chemical free cleaners…
We reuse everything we can, and I can some of our own food.
Entered! 🙂
We have done quite a few things this year alone….planted a garden, got rid of all of the “icky” foods and toiletries in our house, and much more!
Use canvas tote shopping bags instead of having store use plastic
build a garden, recycle,
I take reusable bags to the grocery store
we recycle and i never use my dryer…i use a clothesline & hang my clothes outside….it’s amazing how much $$$$$$$$ you save not using your clothes dryer!
we recycle everything we can and we compost now.
We recycle more and try to eat foods that are more minimally processed.
I’m getting solar next week
