I’ve seen this type of post on a variety of blogs lately. I’m not sure where it originated, but if you know, I’d love to give credit where credit is due. I did tweak a few of the “hints” a bit. Chore I Hate: Vacuuming. I am lucky enough to have a Dyson, but because it is an upright – and nearly as tall as me – it’s difficult for me to maneuver. I wish I could trade it for a Dyson canister. Anyone interested in making the switch?
Dogs: We currently are not dog owners. We plan to get a Silver Lab when The Boy is a little bit older, and I’m ready to commit to walking him/her in the winter!
Essential Start of Your Day: Making my bed, brushing my teeth and having a hot cup of coffee.
Favorite Color: For a while, my favorite colors were pink and brown. And then the color combination appeared everywhere and I called it quits. Lately, I’ve been favoring spring green and browns.
Gold or Silver: Silver. I don’t care for how gold looks against my skin.
Height: My driver’s license says 5 foot 4, but I feel that I’m at least 5 foot 5.
Instruments I Play: Hmm…does pen tapping count as instrument playing? I did play the flute for four years, but haven’t picked it up years. I’m sure it is nothing like riding a bike!

Nicknames: I don’t think I have one. I’ve always been called Emily, which is my name. {I did have one in college, but I’m sure that I’ve outgrown that one!} My grandmother called me Emmy, and I loved that. I guess that’s my nickname, though she’s the only one to ever call me that.
Overnight Hospital Stays: When I was born and when my son was born. At the same hospital, too!
Pet Peeve: When labels do not face outward in the refrigerator, pantry, and cabinets. I like my refrigerator to be “photo shoot” ready at all times. (This applies to any place you’d put anything with a label!)

Time You Wake Up: On weekdays, I get up around 4:30. We do not have chickens or a farm. That’s what time The Texan leaves for work {long commute to The Big City}. I get up, enjoy my coffee, blog, Facebook, Tweet, do laundry and other {fun} stuff before The Boy wakes around 7:30. It’s wonderful to have the quite time, and to shower in peace! On the weekends, I sleep late – until 6:30.
Underwear: Yes. I prefer Thong. {Can’t believe I just put that on the internet.} I tried the boy shorts, but found them to be very uncomfortable.
Vegetable you love: My favorite vegetables are artichokes and spinach. Both are versatile and taste wonderful together. {New recipe post coming soon!}

Yummy Food You Make: Vegetable Lasagna, Macaroni and Cheese, Tuna Burgers, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Pancakes, Jamaican Grilled Wings…pretty much everything is yummy because I use ingredients we love. We do try new ingredients, but usually paired with things that are familiar. This typically avoids any disasters and prevents us from ordering Take Out Chinese!
Zoo Animal You Like Best: I guess I’d choose an anteater because they’re kind of silly looking.
