I love cooking. The smell that wafts through the house when you’re cooking with garlic or rosemary (or chocolate) warms my heart. For me, cooking is both relaxing and fun. But some days, I just cannot stand in the kitchen and whip up something that is nutritious that the whole family agrees on. Unless it is pizza.
While making pizza from scratch is fun – it’s also messy. When I want to avoid the mess, I reach into my freezer and grab an Annie’s Organic Rising Crust pizza. Yes, you read that correctly. Freezer. Organic. Pizza. No Way! Yes Way, my friends! Yes Way!
I want to thank Moms Meet for introducing me to this convenient go-to freezer meal! It’s readily available at your local Whole Foods Market. Before you run out to grab a pie, read my thoughts on it AND enter for your chance to win a free pie of your own, too.
The crust rises, and it is hearty just like a thick-crust delivery pizza! Though I typically prefer a thin, crispy crust I found that I really enjoyed the crust on the Annie’s pizza. It’s made from exceptional ingredients like whole grains, real cheese and organic meats and vegetables. I wonder if Annie’s secretly installed a camera in my kitchen – those are the ingredients that I use when I make pizza from scratch! You can choose from four varieties – Uncured Pepperoni, Supreme, Spinach & Mushroom or Four Cheese. While the Four Cheese is excellent, I cannot wait to try the Spinach & Mushroom! I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are 8grams of whole grains per serving, and the meats used contained no added nitrates or nitrites (except for naturally occurring nitrates in sea salt or celery juice powder).
We purchase a variety of Annie’s products – like the organic fruit snacks, and Bunny Grahams. I’m excited to add the Organic Rising Crust Pizza to our grocery list, too!
Annie’s Homegrown has generously offered free product coupons to three lucky Nap Time is My Time readers! If you’re a US resident age 18 or older, complete the Rafflecopter form for your chance to win! Can’t wait for your chance to win? Head into the freezer section of your local Whole Foods Market to pick up an 11.5″ pie for $9.99, or visit Annie’s Homegrown on Facebook for more information.
