It’s no secret that we LOVE pizza in our family. We made homemade pizza every Friday night. It’s a fun way to connect as a family and have a little fun. It’s also no secret that we LOVE spicy food – especially Buffalo Wings. Combining the great flavor of the buffalo wing experience with pizza was a no brainer for us!
This buffalo chicken pizza recipe is perfect for watching ball games on TV or gathering everyone around the kitchen table for a card game.
What You’ll Need:
Room Temperature Pizza Dough (If you don’t have the time to make your own, store-bought is a great option. Just be sure to bring it to room temperature before you try to stretch it out.)
1/2 cup hot sauce (Frank’s or Pete’s both deliver great flavor!)
1/2 tsp unsalted butter
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped (This is a great way to use leftover chicken from the night before. If you menu plan, make this during a week that you’re cooking a whole chicken or serving a store-bought Rotisserie chicken.)
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
1/4 cup Blue Cheese, crumbled
3-4 scallions, sliced thinly
What You’ll Do:
1. Pre-heat oven AND pizza stone to 450 degrees.
2. In sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter. Then add hot sauce, stirring to combine. Add chicken to the pan, stir well to ensure all the chicken is coated with your hot sauce mixture. Cover and reduce heat to low.
3. Stretch your pizza dough to fit stone. I am terrible at this, always tearing the dough or stretching it into a strange shape; like the photo above. I’m so thankful that The Texan doesn’t mind doing this!
4. Once your dough is stretched, bake it on the pre-heated pizza stone for 5 – 7 minutes until light brown.
5. Remove pre-cooked dough from oven. Top with chicken mixture, making sure toppings reach the edges of your crust, and cheeses.
6. Reduce heat to 400 degrees. Bake your prepared pizza an additional 5 – 7 minutes. You want the cheese to be golden brown and bubbling.
7. Remove from oven, top with sliced scallions and enjoy!
What are your favorite pizza toppings?

Let me know what you think of it! We had it on Friday night, and I’m wishing I were eating it for lunch today.

That sounds good! My kids do love wings actually so they might just like this… though usually they want just cheese pizza, silly kids.

I love wings – but can’t stand how dirty my fingers get. Eating it in pizza form is less messy!
